We cannot recommend the Lumière & Grain photography and videography team more highly. From the very beginning, they were tasteful, capable, calm, organized, and deeply creative, but most importantly, completely unflappable. They documented our daughter’s wedding with skill, grace, originality, and an incredible sense of presence. Their approach felt intentional and thoughtful, never intrusive, and always respectful of our time, our opinions, our personalities (which we recognize, can be A LOT), and the emotional weight of the day. That care never wavered, from our first conversation through the final delivery.

When unexpected challenges arose close to the wedding, they adapted instantly, with poise and clarity. Nothing rattled them. They found solutions quietly, confidently, and without passing stress along to anyone else. As parents, that steadiness was priceless.

But the very best part came afterward. Receiving the photographs and the Super 8 film was pure magic. The images are timeless, emotional, and alive, and the Super 8 footage brought an overwhelming sense of nostalgia, like stepping back into the day exactly as it felt. The movement, the texture, the laughter, the fleeting in-between moments, all captured in a way that feels irreplaceable. Watching it brought us right back to the joy and emotion of that weekend in a way we didn’t know was possible.

The photographs have been shared again and again, and already friends have asked who created them and begun booking Lumière & Grain because of what they’ve seen. The work speaks for itself.

Working with Lumière & Grain feels like being supported by a truly seasoned team. There is an ease and warmth to them that immediately puts you at ease, and a depth of experience that makes you trust every decision they make. They guide without controlling, anticipate without hovering, and capture moments without ever disrupting them. You feel seen, supported, and understood, without ever feeling judged or pressured.

We feel incredibly lucky to have worked with them, smart to have chosen them, and more than a little wistful now that the wedding is over and we no longer get to be in their orbit.”
